We deliver a number of regulated health and safety courses which are designed to minimise risk of accidents, injury or disease . Our range of health and safety at work qualifications are intended for workers, seniors and management and designed to impart knowledge and good practice that can protect and promote the health and welfare of all people within the work place.

Health and safety applies to any work environment and should be one of the core function of any organisation. There are clear expectations for employers, employees and visitors to sites.

The courses are underpinned by a number of legislation and regulatory framework such as the umbrella, Health and Safety at Work 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, Human Rights Act 1998, Care Act 2014, Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR), Lifting Operations and lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the Provision and use of work equipment Regulations 1998( PUWER). Links to the Health and Safety Executive and their power will be outlined throughout the courses.

We do not only focus on generic health and safety courses, Vocational Learning also offer specialist manual handling and moving people qualifications for careworkers which will assist you to meet your mandatory health and safety requirements. These qualifications are accepted by the CQC. We also deliver train the trainer courses in Manual Handiling, Moving People and delivering Care Qualifications.

1] Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Risk Assessment (RQF)

The Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Risk Assessment qualification is aimed at candidates who are responsible for creating a risk aware environment. The qualification focus on the skills and procedures required to carry out effective risk management.

The Level 2 Award in COSHH Risk Assessment provides learners with knowledge and understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) risk assessment and the skills that are required to carry out an appropriate risk assessment.

3] Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF)

The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is designed for candidates who participate in any level of manual handling in the workplace or in their day to day lives. The courses addresses how to move and handle objects in a safe way to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others when undertaking manual tasks.

The Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely is for candidates who are required to move people as part of their role such as care workers and carers. The course aims and objective is to further develop knowledge and skills in how to move people safely and with minimum risk to themselves and the person they are moving.

The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is for candidates wishing to develop their basic knowledge and understanding of the role of workplace health and safety. The qualification is also for those who have responsibilities for monitoring and minimising risk in their workplace.

The Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification is for candidates who have a high level responsibility for health and safety practices and procedures in their workplace.
