Mentoring Courses and Qualifications

Mentoring is an important part of support in any organisation. This is an opportunity to provide guidance, motivation and assist with focusing to achieve specific, measurable, achievable and time bound (SMART) objectives. Mentors should also be able to provide inspire confidence, emotional support and utilise a range of resources to meet needs.


Role of a Mentor

As part of mentoring you will need to embrace the role of providing developmental feedback and working towards realistic goals. Mentoring can be provided on a one-to one basis or any a group depending on needs and resources. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills that includes listening. It is important that you are objective, passion for your role and have integrity.

1] Level 1 Award in Mentoring Skills for Working with Young People (RQF)

This is a short entry level course for people who work with young people in a mentoring role.
